Description: DHC created a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and a hillshade layer from 2020 LiDAR data . This detailed topographic information was used to model how water moves across the landscape using a flow accumulation model. This helped identify previously unmapped watercourses, ditches, and other areas of overland flow. This creates a highly detailed spatial layer of creeks in Gibsons, which was then combined with existing spatial mapping of the town’s stormwater network.
